Teaching Body Balance, coffee by the harbour and pilates filming – RogVLOG11

In this Episode come with me to Fisherrow Harbour near Edinburgh.

Join me as I teach two Les Mills Body Balance classes, enjoy a coffee by the gorgeous harbour at Fisherrow, and help one of my fitness instructor buddies film her Pilates assessment video.

Body Balance is an exercise to music class fusing together moves from Tai Chi, Yoga and Pilates into a strength and flexibility workout. Many people think it’s a bit fluffy. Far from it. Body Balance can be tough. See for yourself in the video.

Now it’s your turn:

What do you do to chill out after a hard week at work? What’s your favourite exercise class? Let me know. Leave a comment or share the post on social media.

Three rules for simple marketing communications and renaming protection insurance - MAF129

As you know, as well as working as a consultant, I’m also the marketing director of the Protection Review. It’s just under two months until the Conference and Dinner on 19 July. So I’ve been inspired to record this show based on a few protection articles I’ve written recently. So, let’s talk about simple marketing communications.

What you’ll hear about in this episode

  • The three rules of simple marketing communications
    • Always talk in the language of your customer
    • Don’t use jargon, gobbledegook and management speak mumbo jumbo
    • Don’t succumb to the curse of knowledge
  • Whether “financial rescue” is a better way to describe protection
