Creativity is a skill and especially useful in marketing communications roles. But I often get clients asking for help getting the creative juices flowing. And that’s fine, I have some great exercises on creative thinking.
Before you criticise your people’s lack of creativity, look at your processes and internal bureaucracy. Could it be you DO have really creative people, but processes that stifle them? Often the process of getting good creative ideas signed off is tortuous. And many great ideas get dismissed before they even have the chance to develop.
